Engineered Timber Flooring

Benefits & Features

  • Pre-finished, no sanding or finishing required
  • Minimal down time during installation
  • Real timber surface
  • Recycled high-density fibre boards
  • More stable than solid timber flooring

Engineered flooring combines the sophistication of real timber with an ingenious construction delivering a stable floor. That coupled with the fact that it is a pre-finished product so minimal disturbance and down time for you during its installation.

An engineered floor is a multilayered tongue and groove timber board. The change of direction of the multiple layers increases the strength of the product. Quality engineered floors offer far greater stability than solid timber flooring, enabling the use of much wider floorboards without the inherent risk of movement known to solid floors.

Engineered floors are constructed as a 15mm thick board with a 3mm-6mm wear layer of the solid timber. These boards can be laid onto any hard level surface, such as concrete, chipboard, or existing
timber flooring.

The consumer can expect from the product the same durability and longevity as the solid timber board. Its main advantages are being structural and environmentally friendly. Visually the biggest improvement is the absence of top nails.
